My family is so important to me, and I can't imagine my life without them! My family is very close, and I can't wait to share my special day with them!

My sisters are my best friends. Emily is my younger sister, who is awesome, and is the creator of this blog :).. and Sarah is my older sister, who is the ultimate role model for being a godly wife, and woman of God! I am so thankful for them during this planning time, because they are AWESOME planners, and decorators, and they have already given me so many wonderful ideas! I am truly blessed!

This is the monogram sean my fiance made for our wedding. He is a graphic designer, and he had the cute idea to use the "love bird" theme along with our color palate for our monogram! I think it's too cute for words!

My Sweet Lil' Flower Girls

There will be three lil flower girls that will be preparing the aisle for Katie to walk down. One will throw flower petals and the other two will carry these flower balls (not sure what they are called). These dresses are too cute with the pink AND the brown!!

Here it is!! Found this picture... of a color palette that just "makes sense".

Our idea: The guys could wear a tux/suit in the light brown color with a pink tie and the girls could wear a dress in the chocolate brown color with a pink sash or something. And then we would have the green and more pink in our flowers. Maybe the guys could wear a green boutonniere.

We love this hair style for Katie on the BIG day :). It is so her...half up... with a perfect lil "poof" on top :). We still have to find someone to attempt working with Katie's hair. Let's just say, God be with that person!

Our place to celebrate being married!

Here is the place of reception. The Inn at St. John's in Plymouth, MI. It's history began in 1940...so the historical elegance of the entire place is just breath taking. It has a beautiful hotel where our guests can stay. It is on a gorgeous golf course, a beautiful courtyard for pictures, and has it's own resturant. One thing you should know about Katie and Sean is that they are ALWAYS chewing gum. I mean ALWAYS! They go through several packs in an hour. Here are favors that show their obsession:

Sean loves these! Since he owns Dippin' Dots ice cream, he thinks this favor idea will be cool.

Sean's favorite candy is M&Ms. You can go on their website and pick the colors you want and can choose what you want it to say on each side of the M&M. So cute.

So we officially have our florist...yay! Cool story about it actually. We found Kate by searching the web... loved her flowers...saw she was a Christian... and then later that week, my aunt called and said she knows a Christian florist that lives by her by the name of Kate. Here is some of her work that we like. We love the little white flowers with pearls inside...definite must! Love the stems being wrapped in fabric with pearl pins going down the middle.

What the heck do the guys wear??

So... say we do pink & brown...

What do the guys wear? They can't wear the traditional black tux...right? So here is some pictures we came across...

I like a deep chocolate brown color... almost black.

But then in two of the pictures, you'll see a black tux with brown vests/ties. Hmm.... Thoughts?

I like this look... except of course in our colors. Maybe a chocolate brown tux with a light pink vest underneath....

So... the colors of the wedding... keep changing. Went from black & pink... to orange & pink... to navy & pink... to green & pink... to brown & pink... to green & black & white... AHHH!! (can you tell we like pink though?? ) Here are some pictures that inspired us for some of these colors. Let me know what you think.

We are most likely choosing chocolate brown & light pink. The others we are ruling out for one reason or another. But I'd still love to hear your thoughts.

Hey All! This is Emily... Katie's sister. I know she doesn't have time to "blog", so I will for her. Can you tell I am excited for this wedding? I love all the fun details that come with planning a wedding. In fact, to show how much I love it...
